I am going to take a brief look at a range of 37" LCD TV's in this Vizio review. Some are recent, whilst a couple are older from 2006. This will give you a good idea of what to expect across the range when you are shopping for a 37 inch LCD TV.
VECO320L
This TV is part of the eco design line up from Vizio which has proven extremely popular. The TV's in this range exceed the current minimum energy star standards by 15% or more. That means you save money on power, plus help the environment.
Pros
Energy saving capability is a major attractive feature. Its power consumption is just 84w.
Cons
Whilst its 720p and 1080i compatible, it is not a full HD model. This is not generally a con, but may be if you are a true HD enthusiast.
VOJ370F
Released in 2008 that retains the Java style. It is a full HD model so is one of Vizio's best offerings. The 1080p resolution is outstanding and the color accuracy beats just about any other LCD of this size. The best thing is that it doesn't really cost that much more than an entry level 720p LCD 37" TV.
Pros
Colors are excellent as is the greyscale. You get 3 HDMI inputs plus a PC input. The Java styling is impressive and will provide a real classy element to your room.
Cons
Blacks could be darker. The remote layout is not the easiest to use but this is just a minor problem that you'll seen get used to.
VX37L
This TV is a little older now (released in 2006) but it still looks the goods. It was a quality TV in its day and would still suit many people, particularly those on a budget.
Pros
Very cheap for a LCD screen of this size. The color depth is excellent.
Cons
The standard definition performance could have been better. Unfortunately there is no option for noise reduction.
Vizio L32
Another 2006 release, this is still a solid television suiting those looking for a bargain. You can now pick them up very cheap, just make sure you are still getting the warranty.
Pros
Inexpensive. Sufficient HDMI inputs plus a handy PC input. The backlight is adjustable.
Cons
The black level performance on this TV was not so great either. Also the shadows seem to lack details at times.
